Our Summer 2026 Newsletter
Help for new Ramblers looking for a group to walk with.
Welcome, it doesn't matter whether you are just looking or already a member of the Ramblers. We know it can be a little daunting to find your first walk and which group(s) you would like to be associated with, so hopefully this will help.
If you click on this link and then on the Map tab, this will take you to an interactive map that reflects where the Mid Sussex Ramblers are planning to walk in the near future. Hopefully you will find a suitable walk in our area. If you can't find anything suitable with us then try the other Sussex area groups by clicking here. They should all have similar maps and we are sure that you will find something suitable in the area.
Welcome
About us
The Group was formed in 1973 and currently has over 400 members.
We offer a varied programme of walks throughout the year to suit most ages and walking abilities.
Walks are arranged on most Saturdays and Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Bank Holidays, with half day walks of 3 to 6 miles and, for the more energetic, all day walks of 10 to 12 miles. During summer months we also enjoy Wednesday evening walks of 3 to 5 miles.
Whether you are new to walking or an experienced walker, you are welcome to come along and give us a try.
During the winter months we hold indoor meetings in Haywards Heath with illustrated talks on a wide range of topics.
