LOCAL FOOTPATH WARDENS
Background: David Purcell our Sussex Area Footpath Officer has recently updated us on the current unassigned parishes in the Mid Sussex area. The list is below:
Mid Sussex - Cowfold
What will it involve? LFWs fulfil a vital role in providing local knowledge and assistance to help the Area Footpath Officer carry out their role.
The main elements of being a LFWs are as follows:
• investigating any reported problems with paths and, if possible, walking all paths over the period of a year to determine their condition,
• commenting on any proposals to alter the right of way network.
• keeping an eye out for any proposed developments that may affect paths in the parish.
